Type: Virtual Course
Price: $395.00

Description

Starting October 3, 2024

Deadline to register is September 26th

Build workplaces that center wellbeing, liberation, and belonging.

For team leads to Executive Directors

$395

All proceeds go towards SJPLA’s work to advance racial and social justice in Los Angeles.

Liberatory workplaces employ practices and policies that enable team members to show up fully and create powerfully in the world.

Strip away the white dominant workplace norms and create a culture of appreciation, trust, and wellbeing.

Participants will further their understanding of white supremacy culture as it shows up in the workplace and the antidotes to put in its place. If you are leading a team of any size, this course will strengthen your ability to counter oppressive workplace norms and co-create something new.

We support participants in developing their workplace strategies by exploring:

  • The context of traditional workplace norms shaped by white supremacy culture.

  • Ways to develop liberatory culture via practices.

  • Ways to tend to the wellbeing of your team via policies.

  • Ways to nurture individual genius via structure and staff roles.

How it works

This is a participatory course where you will be expected to interact with other participants and the facilitator. When at all possible, please have your cameras on and be available to answer questions and join in conversation.

Participants will meet for an hour-and-a-half on Zoom for five meetings.
